Movie blog

Wow, it’s been a while since my last blog so I figured that I should make it up for the lack of blogging lately lol. The reason that I haven’t been blogging is that there isn’t much that’s going on. Oh except that I met my friend’s boyfriend and us three saw two movies together. The movies we saw were “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” starring Adam Sandler, and “The Stranger” and I don’t know who that starred in.

“You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” is an awesome movie. It’s a little bit boring but it is funny. Adam is starring as Zohan, who is an ex-military Palestinian who is super strong and basically a “trump card” for the military. Though the thing is that he doesn’t want to be part of the military anymore, so he faked his death when trying to catch an enemy and decide to go to America to live out his dream as a hair-dresser. During the process of all of this, he fell in love with in Arabian girl who is the younger sister of the Palestinian enemy. In the end they live happily ever after, living out their dreams and whatever. Watch the movie, you’ll understand lol.

The other movie is “The Stranger” and technically, it is based on a true story about three unsolved murder of two male and a female. In the movie, the female and one of the male is supposedly the boyfriend and they went to his summer home after their friend’s wedding. They were surprised by a knock on the door at 4 in the morning by a girl looking for someone. After about 30 later, the male step out of the house to get something at the store, and during that time, the girl knocked on the door again and surprised the leading female. (I’ll skip the gore and the killing part even though I know it’s the best part but you have to just watch the movie). During the time, the male’s friend came over to pick them up, and then something happened. Since the leading role male was all anxious and surprised, he accidentally killed his best friend in the head (cool huh?). Surprised by the action he got scared and decide to killed these strangers, (btw, there was three strangers), but got captured, as well as the female character. In the end, the two of them was murder and the three murderers (or strangers) left. Two missionary boys came to the house and called 911. (There is a surprised at the end but I’m not going to ruin it for you.)

Another movie that I saw wasn’t at the theater but at the comfort at my own bed, lol. I watched “Kung-Fu Panda” starring Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman. I recommend watching this movie because of the moral and the “meaning” that this movie hold. This movie, I’m sure you all now know, is about a panda who wants to be a kung-fu master instead of a noodle selling chef. There are five kung-fu master, a tiger, snake, monkey, crane and a pray mantis, and of course their masters, a red-panda and a tortoise. Jack Black character is the panda whose name is Po. Po got his wish and became one of the greatest kung-fu masters under the training of shi-fu (this is the red-panda/Dustin Hoffman character). Po was picked by Master Oogway (oddly that Oogway actually means turtle in Chinese). There is a saying or a quote that Master Oogway said in the movie. And I quote the saying, “Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift.” This is a saying that Oogway told Po and now it is now my favorite quote. When you watch this movie, you will get the meaning to how Po became a greatest kung-fu master and hopefully get that meaning and put it in your life. I know that I do every day.
